A bright, sunny double room is available from 31.8.26 in a welcoming two-bedroom semi-detached home in Riverside, Cardiff.

I'm hoping to find a friendly, chatty and easy-going professional who will enjoy being part of a relaxed and welcoming home. You'll be clean, tidy and considerate, taking pride in keeping shared areas pleasant for everyone while respecting personal space and routines.

The property is located on a quiet residential street, within easy walking distance of Cardiff city centre and close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and amenities of Canton.

The room is furnished with a new double bed and memory foam mattress, wardrobe, drawers and shelving, offering comfortable accommodation with ample storage.

The successful lodger will share the bathroom, kitchen, dining area and garden. The house has a relaxed, homely atmosphere and is filled with plants, creating a pleasant living environment.

All bills are included within the rent. As I enjoy cooking, I have traditionally provided my lodgers with home-cooked evening meals, and this is reflected in the rental price. Lodgers would be responsible for purchasing their own breakfast, lunch, snacks and personal items. There is absolutely no expectation that we eat together every evening; everyone has their own routines, schedules and need for personal space.

I often cook for friends and host informal meals at home, so it is likely that you would occasionally be invited to join us if you wish. Equally, there is no obligation to do so.

This arrangement would best suit someone who is looking for a home rather than a house share. As this is my home and not a shared tenancy, I am not looking for someone whose partner would regularly stay overnight. Occasional guests are fine by prior arrangement, but the room is intended for single occupancy.

The home is also shared with Eddie, my friendly elderly Spaniel, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs.

Non-smoker preferred. I drink alcohol and meat is frequently prepared.

I work from home for much of the week, and due to the confidential nature of my work, the room is most suitable for someone who works primarily away from home rather than remotely.

This would suit a professional person seeking a comfortable, friendly and well-located home in Cardiff.
