Description
We have a room available in our lovely three bedroom home just off city road. We are looking for a friendly housemate who will enjoy chatting and afternoon teas!
We are in a great location with town a 15 minute walk away, amenities on Albany and city road and the beautiful Roath park near by.
The house is a unique property with lots of charm as a 17th century coach house! Downstairs is a large open plan kitchen / diner / living room. Three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. We have a lovely courtyard garden and a garage which we use for storage. The rainbow cushions are the most recent living room photo - it’s half way through being repainted to brighten it up.
There is one parking permit available which you are welcome to apply for.
Bills are on top of the rent price, currently around £140 a month. This includes council tax, gas, electric, water and wifi. Council tax band E.
The room has just been repainted and refurnished. It does come with blackout curtains (not pictured) which are currently in the shop being shortened!
You are welcome to all shared areas of the house - it’s not just a “bedroom” rental.
Current housemates:
Miffy and Aimee.
I am Miffy, 29, live in landlord. I moved to Cardiff for university and have been here over 10 years. I’ve lived in this house for 7, but only purchased it a year ago from the previous landlord. I’m currently in the process of repainting and making the house look a bit smarter and trying to learn some DIY skills! I’m a physics and chemistry high school teacher.
Aimee moved in last year, she is 27 and from New Zealand. She is planning to be here for 2 more years before heading back home. She works as a town planner.
We’re not party animals and don’t drink in the house often, but we enjoy spending time together whether that be cooking together, going for walks or days out!
Ideally looking for:
1 Female housemate
Aged 25-35
Professional - mature students are okay as long as you are happy to contribute towards council tax
Feel free to message if you don’t fall within these but still feel you’d be a good match!
The room is currently vacant, ideal move in date is 1st Sept but this is flexible.
Viewings will be over the next week or so, please contact to arrange and tell us a little about yourself! Any questions please ask.
Deposit is 1 month rent but happy to wait for your previous deposit to be returned before paying.
