An opportunity to let a private garden studio Monday to Friday within the grounds of a circa 1820’s character house, owned by a working professional family. Situated in the heart of Rhiwbina village, a suburb north of Cardiff, with close proximity to the University Hospital of Wales (2 miles), Cardiff University (3 miles) and City Centre (4 miles).

This beautiful, private and very quiet self-contained garden studio is available from the 8th of July 2023. Although advertised as a Monday to Friday let, if work commitments require limited weekend working, then this can be organised, by prior arrangement. Belongings may also be left at weekends as the studio will not be accessed by anyone else during this time. References are available from previous guests.

Our beautiful, charming studio would be perfect for a professional person (single occupancy) working away home, and looking for quiet and relaxing stay in a lovely setting. All bills are included, with the exception of electricity, which will be charged at source only for the units consumed.

Transport. Heol-y-Deri is the main road in Rhiwbina and is situated between the A470 (Cardiff City Centre to M4 J32) and A469 (Cardiff City Centre to Caerphilly). The area is served by Rhiwbina railway station on the Coryton Line, with services through to West Cardiff and Radyr. Rhiwbina train station offers a 10-minute commute into the City Centre. Cardiff Bus services 21 (Coryton-Whitchurch) and 23 (Birchgrove-Gabalfa-Cathays-Central Station) frequently run through the area.

Shopping. Whether you need a haircut, a nice beauty treatment, a fancy massage or a trip to a vintage shop, Rhiwbina has a lot to offer, without the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Rhiwbina is a popular meeting point with many shops, a gallery, a deli, a flower shop, a dentist, hair dressers & barber, a beauty salon, a café, a restaurant, an Indian takeaway, dry cleaners, opticians, travel agent, and much more.

Things to do. From beautiful parks such as Cae Delyn Park to the wooded Wenallt Hill (a delightful conservation area) providing wonderful walks and bridle paths, and the Rhiwbina library, there are plenty of things to see and do.

Churches. Rhiwbina has a large number of churches and chapels including All Saints, St. Thomas Church in Wales, Beulah, Bethesda, Rhiwbina Baptist Church, Bethany, Bethel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Mormons.

Community. There’s plenty to do throughout the year, but the best way to keep up to date on what’s happening in the community is through the popular quarterly magazine, Rhiwbina Living.

Clubs. With a selection of clubs and sports facilities, Rhiwbina is an excellent place to keep fit and socialise. Whether it’s going down to the Recreational Centre to play bowls, tennis, or maybe even Pilates or yoga.

Food & Drink. Whether it’s gloriously sunny or cold and wet, you’ll find plenty of places to get a bite to eat. Local pubs include The Butchers Arms and The Deri Inn. If you fancy something a bit spicier, you can have a curry in the Jubouraj Restaurant or an Indian takeaway from the multi-award winning Gateway of India. The Groaker Restaurant is in the heart of the village, as is Parsons Bakery, or Snails on Beulah Road serves up organic and home-cooked produce. The recently opened Rhiwbina Tap & Cellar offers locally produced ale and beer.
