Lodger wanted for friendly house in Penarth

I'm offering a small-ish single room, but with access to the rest of the house (except my bedroom), the garden and storage options (attic, brick garden shed).

The house is really well placed for Cogan station (8 minutes walk, 8 mins journey to Cardiff Central and direct line to Cathays for Cardiff University), and is well served by buses. On road parking is free, though can be a struggle around school start and finish times.

Quiet street, with views of woods and allotments to the rear, the recreation ground and Penarth Leisure Centre are very close. Penarth town centre is about fifteen minutes up hill, or a very short bus ride away. There aren't many shops in Cogan, though there's a big-ish Tesco within walking distance, a corner shop and a chinese take away/chip shop around the corner.

Rent includes wifi, Netflix, utilities and council tax and phone calls within my free usage tariff (otherwise I'll ask you to pay for calls as itemised on my phone bill). I'll supply bedding and towels etc. and am happy to cook the odd meal, but my work patterns are quite erratic so I can't promise a nightly meal.

As the room is quite small, I'm happy to offer use of my other spare room if you want friends or family to stay (but please ask me first so we don't double book). I can provide a TV for the room, but wouldn't expect you to feel you had to be locked away in there

I've got a cat, so be warned if you have allergies as she's pretty free range. I do smoke, but if you don't and I like you, I'm happy to puff away outside.

I'm looking for a friendly, fairly self-sufficient house mate, who will either muck in with some basic domestic chores, or at least not get too wound up at my rather haphazard approach to housework. You'll need a reasonably well-developed sense of humour too - I've been collecting kitsch for the past thirty odd years, so if you're a fanatical minimalist then my house will give you nightmares.
