Here is my family home, in which I am renting rooms. Currently 2 of 4 are occupied by young professionals. Something that separates this from all other rooms for rent is my interest in the continual improvement of my home. Since renting I have invested in new beds, mattresses, cooker and now a washing machine. There is now also a Drying machine.
The house is suited towards working professionalls.
All bills are included and there is Virgin 300mb uncapped broadband.
The Location/Transport:
House is located in Barry, in Merthyr Dyfan area, close to port road which is convenient for anyone working at Cardiff airport /Aberthaw/Cardiff/Heath as it is only a 10-minute drive and is around 20 minutes to central Cardiff.
10 minute walk to the train station directly to Cardiff Centre and Cardiff Queen Street as well as any national routes.
Plenty of bus routes to Cardiff/Rhoose
Parking:
Off - Street parking, plenty of space for 2+ cars, motorbikes can be stored in the garden if desired. Bicycles can be kept in the house, if clean and well maintained.
Gardens:
Small front and rear garden, the back of the house is pleasant in the summer months.
The Bedroom:
Double room with a new double bed and matress (Large double), Large walk in Cupboard and chest of drawers. Recent carpet and newly painted. Window with blinds.
The Bathroom:
Shared bathroom with relatively new large walk-in shower and electric shower.
The Dining room:
A large room with table for 6. Shared space for eating, socializing. Communal smart 4k television and Netflix/Amazon, printer, and garden access.
The Kitchen:
There is a small kitchen, but there is a new electric cooker, a washing machine, drying machine and large fridge freezer.
The kitchen is equipped with all utensils and there are plates / glasses / cups / cutlery and cooking equipment such as pans so forth. Plenty of room in fridge + freezer.
The Living Room (Large bedroom) Beautiful large space. Enough room for large bed and sofa/desk.
General:
There are also local shops nearby, a couple of pubs within 5-10 minutes walk. Tescos/Waitrose/Asda/ Morrisons are all accessible to someone with a car.
The terms will be one month's deposit with a months rental in advance. Notice of leaving is 1 month.
Looking to rent the room for a minimum of 1 months and no maximum term. However, this is something to discuss in person.
Utility Bills:
These are included in the monthly charge.

Someone clean is expected, the room is expected to be kept clean, as well as the communal areas. The kitchen is small so plates will need to be washed when used.
Current Occupiers:
The tenants are professionals who work for Cardiff council, cardiff airport and Aston Martin.
We are non-smokers. You will need to smoke outside off of the premises
Would suit those who are looking for a base to work.
