About Homeshare:
-We are a Leeds City Council Scheme (we facilitate this opportunity in Barnsley, south Yorkshire.)
-We take time to complete our processes before confirming any Homeshare arrangement.
-This includes background checks, interview, ID checks and meeting in person, several weeks before any living arrangement is agreed.
-We match people seeking good affordable accommodation, with householders who would like practical help and company in their home, who have a spare room to offer.
- Homeshare usually matches older people in their 70s, 80s or 90s with helpful home-sharers. Sometimes our householders are working-age adults with a disability who wish to benefit from practical help at home.
- Our focus is on affordability, support and shared living.

About the homeowner
- The homeowner enjoys good conversation, walking, tv, shopping and occasional manicures. She has family nearby who visit.

About the area
-Tesco, Dunelm mill, and Aldi are all close by. Grime Thorpe Nature Reserve and the Trans Pennine Walking trail are close by too. Close to Barnsley centre and Wakefield - by public transport
