A room in a large comfortable spacious home in Ardsley (Barnsley) with gardens and off-road parking.
A nicely decorated furnished bedroom, (double bed and storage). Shared facilities include the dining-kitchen, bathroom, living-dining room, utility room and gardens.

Our friendly and supportive homeshare service is looking for someone who:
- is a non- smoker
- is available and willing to help 10 hours every week with practical tasks and sociable company including: light housework, dog walking, and a weekly shared meal.
- agrees to us seeking 2 references and UK police DBS checks
- you can provide overseas police certificate if been in the UK less than 5 years.
- is friendly, with time to chat and get to know the householder.
- can afford the monthly fees : £180 per month plus bills: £80 gas and electric. [The owner does not currently ask for council tax payments].
-This retired homeowner-householder feels more comfortable living with a female sharer and has other female support in the home. [However anyone can enquire/ apply to our scheme as a whole].
About Homeshare:
-We are a Leeds City Council Scheme (we facilitate this opportunity in Barnsley, south Yorkshire.)
-We take time to complete our processes before confirming any Homeshare arrangement.
-This includes background checks, interview, ID checks and meeting in person, several weeks before any living arrangement is agreed.
-We match people seeking good affordable accommodation, with householders who would like practical help and company in their home, who have a spare room to offer.
- Homeshare usually matches older people in their 70s, 80s or 90s with helpful home-sharers. Sometimes our householders are working-age adults with a disability who wish to benefit from practical help at home.
- Our focus is on affordability, support and shared living.
About the homeowner
- The homeowner enjoys good conversation, walking, tv, shopping and occasional manicures. She has family nearby who visit.
About the area
-Tesco, Dunelm mill, and Aldi are all close by. Grime Thorpe Nature Reserve and the Trans Pennine Walking trail are close by too. Close to Barnsley centre and Wakefield - by public transport
