Lovely house in S10. Attic floor to yourself.

My husband and I are hoping to find someone to stay with us for a year, starting around September 26.

We live in a lovely six-bedroom house in S10. We’re looking for someone to take over our attic floor, which has two large double bedrooms, a landing and a bathroom. All of these would be yours to use; one of the rooms could even be a sitting room or office space if you’d like. Both are furnished. Our children have moved out but still visit sometimes (three of them are 29, 27 and 25). We have space for them on the main floor of the house, so we wouldn’t expect to need the attic rooms except maybe around Christmas (one of the rooms).

There is a large kitchen, dining area and lounge that would be a shared space.
We would keep the separate lounge as a space for us but there is a second sitting room in the basement too if you need some extra space for yourself.
The thing is, we have a very busy year ahead and a lovely dog called Albie (he only barks at door knocks and strangers; he’s a great guard). We would love some help looking after him when we are away. ‘Away’ will likely be one or two nights a week, but it might be more on occasion. Albie currently goes to doggy day care in Attercliffe and can continue to go there if that works for you when needed. We also have a kennel we use, but we would prefer not to use that too often if we can help it.

In return for looking after the dog (company and walks when we are away), we would be expecting a reduced rent of £350 a month (which could be a chance to save up!).

We also have a cat who is quite old and she has her own ‘safe room’. She tolerates Albie, and he tries hard to make friends with her! Albie gets along with other dogs at daycare but can be a bit barky at them on walks.
