Hi there,

I have a spare room to let in my 4 bedroomed house. The bedroom itself is south facing, overlooks the garden and has neutral decor. There is a kingsize bed, a large 3 door wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. Due to the current colour-scheme it is easy for lodgers to put their own stamp on it.

We have had a few lodgers and the last lodgers were here for three years so it can’t be so bad can it. Before that our lodger was here for 18 months. References are available on request . most lodgers have been in their 20’s/30’s and that has seemed to fit in nicely with us all though any age is fine. It’s more about the person and us fitting in with you and you with us. .L

The household comprises of a 28 year old male who has just finished his degree at Sheffield university who also works in hospitality . Then there is myself, a young at heart, live-in landladyk. In addition, my daughter who is 24yr old and who’s just qualified in her profession. .

The house has a large and spacious feel. There is a comfortable lounge with piano. The kitchen/dining is open plan with views to the garden. There is a sofa in the dining area which offers additional living space. There is a utility room, wc and large bathroom, with power shower, shared between 2 people as I have an en-suite.

We have a driveway which can mostly accommodate 3 cars. There is also plenty of free roadside parking in the vicinity. The garden is a really nice space for sitting outside and relaxing in. Barbecue available and bicycle storage.

The house is in a great location for transport into the city centre by bus or to destinations from Dore & Totley train station, which offers free parking. There is easy access to the Peak District for those that love the countryside which is literally 15 minutes away. The M1 motorway is about 20 minutes away. There is also easy access to Chesterfield.

This is a lovely residential area with nice neighbours. Plenty of places to walk including 3 parks/woodland areas. Within 5 minutes drive there are numerous supermarkets, a retail park, gym and tennis centre with subsidised rates for students and many public sector workers.

Everyone gets on very well in the house. There's a pleasant, friendly vibe. We have all sorts of interests between us. I particularly love the outdoors and spend much of my time hiking in Derbyshire at the weekends.

We are happy to fit around whoever comes to live with us. If you like company that's great, but if you'd rather keep to yourself then that's fine too.

Short stays welcome but there is a minimum of 4 weeks and the weekly rate is £125 with bedding included.

There is a £10 admin fee to draw up lodgers agreement and complete credit checks. This just covers costs and is not for profit.
