Description
One Double rooms available in spacious house in Meersbrook from January. I am a single person looking for lodgers who I am comfortable welcoming into my home.
I am a working professional with a mix of activities including charity work and academic work.
My interests include exercise, dancing, music, peak district walks, gardening, reading theatre and concerts. I occasionally have people round, so someone who is okay with peace and quiet would fit.
The room is furnished with double bed, bedside table, wardrobe and dresser. The bathroom is shared between two rooms. The kitchen, living room and garden are shared with me. The washing machine is in the cellar. I like to compost, use eco products in the house and recycle as best I can.
It's close to shops, Lidl & B&M, bars and pubs 5-10 mins walk away,. It's a few mins walk to Meersbrook park, 10mins to two gyms, swimming pool, and 20mins to the climbing wall. There's excellent travel links to the city center and train station, the bus takes about 15mins to the city centre or 30 mins walk. By car there is easy access to the Peak District.
There is free on street parking but it's quite busy, you would find it difficult to park close by overnight. Please be aware that the house is strictly non-smoking and I'm afraid cannot accommodate pets.
Who are you?
I am looking for housemates who are considerate, clean, tidy and pleasant/thoughtful/fun company. Mature students and professionals welcome. Would suit someone who has an occupation that takes them away from the house during their work hours Mon to Fri. If you're a Masters student, Sheffield Hallam is in city centre but Sheffield Uni takes two buses or 50 mins walk.
I like to have a good relationship with people living with me so a good chat now and then is important and perhaps doing some social activity together from time to time too.
I like everyone to feel at home, with mutual respect for each other, their space and property. You would be welcome to have occasional visitors but not regular stayovers.
Rent £450 month, bills are included but please note we don't usually have the heating on during the day and are being extra careful with energy usage nowadays. Also, a deposit of £450 is required. If you want to WFH would need to discuss the implications.
Min 2 month max 12 months
Please contact me with any questions. If you want to come to see the house message me with some information about yourself, job, study, hobbies etc.
I look forward to hearing from you.
