Description
Hi, due to a long term housemate moving away for work, a large double room is available in a recently modernised, tidy house share.
THE ROOM & HOUSE
----------------
The room is a generously sized 1st floor double overlooking a relatively quiet street, and has recently had new double glazing plus wall insulation, so it's quiet, warm and comfortable.
The room is furnished but can be partially furnished or unfurnished depending on your requirements.
The house has been redecorated and modernised recently, benefiting from new central heating and a newly fitted bathroom with both full size bath and separate walk-in shower. There's also a second, separate WC and washbasin which is always handy in house shares! Downstairs is a shared front room and dining room, plus kitchen. To the rear there is a small garden with good potential.
For anyone into gardening, the neighbour next door does not use his half of the shared double garden and have no objections to it being used - I've previously used it as a small allotment space although found I didn't have the time to keep it up
THE LANDLORD
------------
The house is owned by a private, live-out landlord who is pretty laid back and hands-off, definitely not one of those that turns up at the house at 8am every Sunday morning - so long as he's getting his rent he's happy - and his brother is a builder so if there ever needs any general maintenance it's not usually difficult to get it resolved.
ME
--
I've lived here for quite a number of years and pretty much call this home. I also have two black cats, one of whom gets to know people very quickly and loves knees to sit on. The other who is aloof and a one-man cat. I'm an e-commerce manager which is pretty boring conversationally so the less said about that, the better.
Generally left-leaning but not in the bang-on-about-it-all-the-time way and at that early 40s stage when you're not yet past it but start to stick around the local pub for a few quiet pints rather than staggering home at 4am from clubs, and the idea of just getting ready to go out at 11pm is suddenly something "young people do"...
Not unsociable, but do enjoy my own (and respect others) quiet time too, and looking to share the house with someone of a similar outlook.
