Description
Beautiful, large, bright, en-suite double room in a stunning property overlooking the park. Separate room for study or home-working. Virgin Fibre broadband included.
I am looking for someone (preferably female but will consider other genders) to share my lovely home with me and my 2 cats (Poirot and Sherlock). The house is a large 4-bedroom semi-detached home facing on to Meersbrook Park, in the ever-popular area of Meersbrook. There are good transport links with bus stops a few mins walk, cycle to town centre/train station 10-15 mins.
The room is a large, bright double bedroom with an ensuite double shower/toilet/sink bathroom and beautiful views from the bedroom window over-looking Sheffield.
Furniture consists of a double bed, 2 x bedside cabinets, 5 drawer chest of drawers and 2 x full length wardrobes in the alcoves.
At the front of the house is a single-sized bedroom available as an office/workspace/study with a desk, office chair and a bookcase.
The house was fully refurbished in 2016 and it has been finished to an extremely high standard.
The main bathroom of the house is available for shared use and has both a large walk in shower and a deep free-standing bath (a highlight!).
The ground floor is open plan with a big bright fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar and central kitchen island. There is a double fan oven with 5 ring gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, airfryer plus dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All of the kitchen items are available for shared use and there is ample storage. There is a small downstairs toilet and sink with side door access to the property.
The dining area has a round, extendable dining table, log burner and bookcases. The spacious lounge has a big, comfy sofa with another smaller one in the bay window overlooking the park so plenty of space to relax in. The lounge has a gas fire and smart TV with Virgin fibre cable and broadband.
French doors lead down from the dining area of the open plan living space to a patio area with cellar access where bikes etc can be stored and side gate access to front of property. There is an enclosed, secure garden area with lovely plants, table and chairs, garden lounge set and a chiminea.
The house faces lovely Meersbrook park which has amazing views across Sheffield - particularly sunsets. The house is also ideally located near to Chesterfield Road and major bus routes (the bus stop is 2 mins away). It's a short journey into town, to the train station or to the two Universities. There are several local shops and a large supermarket within a few minutes walk.
Meersbrook is a fantastic and popular area and is well known for being a friendly, green and safe area. The street itself is quiet and, unusually for meersbrook there is ample roadside parking as one side of the road is along the park.
I am warm, fun, kind, curious and friendly. I'm a busy professional, reliable and independent but truly enjoy living with others too. I like nature, art and yoga amongst many other things. I love wild swimming locally in sheffield or in the Peak District and try to do this whenever I can! I'm easy-going and flexible. I like to have an open mind, frank discussions and an easy living environment that works for both people. Over the last 6 years I have found 4 lovely housemates on myspareroom. They have all become good friends and I very much enjoyed living with them all. Hoping it will be the same this time! 😁
I would like to find a housemate who is fun, respectful and friendly and who genuinely enjoys house shares. I have lived in shared houses for much of my adult life and I am more interested in having a happy home and some companionship rather than this being solely a 'business' arrangement. I am very respectful of others' space and privacy and am not demanding. I have had house shares run in a variety of ways and am flexible on specifics eg shared groceries/sundries etc which can be discussed on application. I am looking for someone who generally feels comfortable in shared spaces and who would be happy to sometimes share a meal together/watch a film/have a cup of tea and a chat for example.
I am looking for someone who wants to live in a beautiful home and is keen to keep it that way. I do not want a 'party house'. Happy with guests / visitors / dinners etc. There are lots of plants around the house. My 2 cats are good fun once they know you and love being played with - especially if you offer the laser pen. They come and go as they want as they have a microchip catflap. They are a brilliant addition unless you have a cat allergy :-)
Rent is £650pcm for bedroom, en suite and separate study and is inclusive of all bills (Gas/Electricity/Water/Council tax/broadband/TV). I know it is relatively expensive for the area but I do assure you it is worth it.
If you like the house and think you might fit in here please get in touch.
Warm wishes,
Jo
