Description
Have you had experience working with/living with someone with Dementia?
Can you provide support and companionship to an older gentleman in these isolating times?
This house is in a beautiful central location of Meersbrook, Sheffield. It comes as part of a Two Generations Homeshare, in which you will commit to approx. 10 hours per week of help in the home.
The current homeowner is a very friendly gentleman aged 76 living with Parkinson and Dementia. He is very warm and sociable man who enjoys football, lawn bowling and music.
He is looking for companionship and the reassurance of an overnight presence in his home. Your hours of support will include helping to prepare and share evening meals, plus some occasional time spent together during the day.
The ideal sharer MUST have experience of working with or living with someone with Dementia. They can be working part time or from home, but should have some time available during their week to offer some household support.
The property is a very well maintained house in a stunning rural central location. The sharer has a large double Attic room with lots of storage and a desk to work from. There is access to a shared bathroom and the sharer is welcome to use of the rest of the home including kitchen and lounge/dining room. The house has a well kept large garden.
We have various policies in place to allow shares to take place during the Covid Pandemic and safety of both parties is our first priority.
