Large double room in a homely and peaceful three bed house, sharing with two easy going housemates. Spare room available for guests. The room is 5m x 3.7m and furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, desk, chest of drawers, and has a storage cupboard.
Refurbished bathroom with rainhead and handheld shower, large bath, insulated wall and large radiator so it’s not chilly in winter, and is only used by you unless guests are staying in the spare room. Good sized kitchen/diner with pleny of storage and 7 seater dining table for dinner party evenings. Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, double oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. Cellar for storage if needed. The lounge is spacious and cosy with 55 inch TV, two radiators and a log burner so is nice and toasty on a winter's evening for relaxing. It's separate from the kitchen so dinner guests won't disturb a film night.
Rent includes bills (council tax, gas, eleccy, water, TV licence, fast fibre internet).
Crookes high street is a couple of mins walk with nice coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, regular buses to town. Easy access from here to uni and hospital as well as Rivelin Valley and the Peaks for nice walks.
This end of the road is nice and quiet and parking is generally easy (currently 2 cars in the household and we always get to park nearby). Lovely neighbours.
I'm the owner, work as a full time sustainability consultant in the civil service. Love outdoorsy stuff, travel, and gym amongst other things. The other housemate is a Canadian working in hospitality and customer service, and we are both relaxed, friendly, welcoming, considerate, and sensibly clean and tidy. As well as doing our own thing we sometimes do stuff together as a house at times too, dinner, films, etc. You're welcome to join in as little or as much as suits. The main thing is we like it to feel like a home and for everyone to be able to relax.
