Description
ABOUT THE ROOM/HOUSE
Rent is £500 p/m inclusive of bills (internet, water, gas, electric, council tax - not TV licence), and general household bits like toilet roll, bin bags and cleaning products.
The room comes furnished with a double bed with storage boxes underneath, bedside table, clothes rail, chest of drawers, and a sit/stand desk and chair.
As for the rest of the house there’s:
• a porch to store shoes and coats
• a kitchen with table and chairs, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and ample cupboard space
• a living room with large sofa bed and projector for everything from trashy reality tv to arty indie films
• a bathroom with tub
• a box room mainly used for storage and laundry
• a small bricked garden
• a basement for storing some extra things
ABOUT THE AREA
Hillsborough is an underrated gem. The postcode is S6 1SG, and the house is a short walk from bus and tram stops, gyms, supermarkets, the main high street which has more shops like Boots, Specsavers, and a plethora of charity shops, and perhaps the best bit about Hillsborough: the park. There’s a weekly Park Run, and Depot cafe at its centre which backs onto the walled garden.
ABOUT YOU
Similar interests would be a bonus, but I’m mostly looking for someone who's left-leaning politically, willing to pitch in on house chores, and up for the occasional bit of socialising like dinners, movies, boardgames.
ABOUT ME
I’ve rented in shared houses for over a decade, and while this is my first home I’ll continue to be a good housemate.
I work from home during the week, but I keep an active social life, and spend a few weeks away each year. In my spare time I volunteer, and I enjoy weightlifting, being outdoors, music, cinema, books, and all things food.
