*THE HOUSE*
This Victorian terrace is a lovely home, charming and well cared for with lots of natural light. The whole house is cosy, with powerful radiators and a new (<5 years) efficient boiler.
2 bathrooms:
Upstairs: Great waterfall shower, sink, toilet, LED mirror.
Downstairs: bigger bathroom with bath, shower, toilet
Kitchen/Diner:
Spacious and bright, there is plenty of storage. I love cooking so have a double oven and big hob. Table big enough to have a dinner party
Living room:
I really like this room, it has wooden floors and some of the original victorian tiles so is really pretty. Small TV (will need your own streaming packages/TV licence as I don't watch much TV so don't have one)
Study:
This smallest room is used as an occasional bedroom but most of the time is available to use as a study/laundry/storage room. Can put a desk in it if wanted.
Cellar:
There is storage at the top of the cellar for household stuff.
Garden:
Patio area with borders with plants. Its lovely in spring and summer with lots of flowers.
Benches and outdoor tables for stilling outside.
Covered bike storage.
Shed with a mini pottery studio! Ask me if you are interested in this
*CURRENT OCCUPANT*
You'd be sharing with 1 other person, as I'm looking to let 2 rooms. My current housemate is leaving at the end of February.
Double room (this advert) - big attic room £650 - available start March
Current housemate:
Female, 33, training to be a psychologist. She has a bedroom on the first floor, so in the attic you have an entire floor to yourself!
I'm 34 and a university teacher. I usually work away from Sheffield and visit occasionally at weekends (once a month or so and would give you notice!). When I do, I stay in the lounge.
I love listening to podcasts, crafts, the great outdoors and dinner parties.
*WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR*
I’m looking for a lodger who likes to keep a clean and pleasant living environment. Ideally looking for someone friendly and easygoing, but generally independent - I tend to be away, but my housemate is super friendly and good company!
*THE NEIGHBOURHOOD*
Walkley is a fun place to live. There is easy access to lots of great cafes and shops. It is just round the corner form the Raven pub which I love as it has a fire and is really chilled.
Close to Hillsborough for more shops, cafes, parkrun. 5 mins walk to Morrisons and even less to the trams and buses. Great access to town by train or bus and about 15 mins by bike.
Kirkstone road is quiet as is a no-through road. There is on-street parking, this is easy to get a space in the day but can fill up late evening or if there is a football match on.
*BILLS*
Price listed is inclusive of bills:
council tax
gas & electric (fair usage on the gas/electricity)
water
fibre broadband
