Double room, great location, clean household!

Thank you for taking a look! This is a large double room in Lower Walkley available from the start of June 2024.

The house is in a great location. It’s a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk to super markets and transport links. Very close the the universities, hospitals, the city centre and Kelham Island, with easy access to the Peak District and motor way via Penistone Road. There’s a nice local pub just a few doors up too! The neighbours and friendly and I’ve enjoyed living here for 5 years with no issues.

The house itself is well maintained and clean. There’s a spacious South facing kitchen with a huge range cooker, a cosy front room with a log burner (yes I chop wood ready for winter!) The room is a decent sized double room with generous storage and basic furniture included - bed, wardrobe etc. Sharing a bathroom. There’s a huge south facing garden with lawns, patio and allotment. Great for BBQs and sunbathing.

Myself and my partner live here with a very cool cat called Oliver (pictured!). We are very clean and ideally looking for someone that could commit to a cleaning rota. We have had 3 tenants previously and happy to share with either someone who is social or private. We enjoy cooking and don’t mind sharing meals. My partner is African and we eat a lot of very spicy, meat filled dishes 😋. I am a teacher and work quite long hours out of the house. I’d prefer someone who is not a party animal as I go to bed and get up super early, although we do sometimes play music quite loudly (rap and African) so not expecting a housemate to be quiet. We are expecting our first baby in May too so we would need someone who would be okay with the noise!

We are a friendly couple who can get along with most people. Probably looking for someone for about 6 months but open to negotiations.
