Sunny double room in Upperthorpe

Housemate wanted to share my 2-bedroom house with a sunny back garden in Upperthorpe for £425 a month plus usually around £35 in utilities plus council tax (band A).

I've been living in this house for a year, since I moved to Sheffield to get my PhD in Mechanical Engineering. My previous flatmate, a friend of mine from a previous degree who is also a postgraduate student, moved out to live with his partner, so the bedroom facing the garden is now free.

I have a lot of hobbies, including playing English folk music on the guitar and tin whistle, rock climbing, swing dancing, and badminton, and am often out in evenings doing these things. I also cook and bake quite a lot, and am happy to share sometimes.

Ideally, I would like to live with someone who is interested in getting to know people and trying new things.

The house has a rear patio and garden that gets lots of sun in the mornings, a large kitchen with lots of counter space, and a living room with a big TV. The garden is currently a work in progress (I got herbs in pots last summer) so if you like gardening you're very welcome to grow things.

The upstairs bedroom has a double bed and gets a lot of light. It's furnished but I'm happy to move things in or out or move the furniture around however you might wish. Also, please feel free to decorate.

My neighbourhood has a lot going for it - the house is on a quiet road near a lot of green space and about a twenty minute walk from UoS. There's a Tesco, Aldi, and a tram stop nearby, and if you're into such things, there's also a local library branch, a gym, and a swimming pool a few streets away.

Parking is free on the road. Wifi is included but, alas, the other utilities are not.
