Looking for a housemate!

Hello potential pals! I’m Tom and I’m looking to find someone who might interested in living with me in my lovely rented three-storey terraced house in Hillsborough, S6.

The room available is the attic space, which is a large double room with a skylight, desk and other furniture (see pics). We’d be sharing the lounge, dining room, kitchen, study and bathroom. The bathroom had a new shower fitted about six months ago and it’s pretty good. Plus you rarely struggle to find a parking spot on the road outside.

I love living in this area – the house is a stones throw from Hillsborough Park and just a five min walk to the yellow tram stop (this gets you into town/train station in like 10/20 mins). You’re also not far from Rivelin Valley, Walkley, Crookes – and can drive to Ladybower in less than 20 mins!

I’ve fully furnished the house myself so you wouldn’t need much furniture. Happy for you to use my stuff. Although the room has only a daybed in there with a relatively thin mattress on it. A new mattress may be needed if you find it’s necessary, should you be staying for a longer period.

Soooo a bit about me… I work in journalism/communications and do two days a week in the office and the rest at home. I’m very easygoing, tidy and respectful. Massively into music, vinyl; enjoy playing football, running, a bit of cycling, festivals, live music etc etc… it would be cool to have someone to chill with, watch films/shows/footie etc, as well as head out to gigs and for a few pints of Guinness with!

I have about five months left on the current contract with plans to extend further. I’d be open to someone moving in for a few months to see how it goes and then going from there. Rent/bills would be £575 initially – rising to £600 if you’re still here January onwards (as the overall rent is set to go up). All bills are included! We’d be splitting everything 50/50. Wouldn’t initially be a deposit but there may be one if staying longer term. Happy to discuss this with interested people in more detail.
