Description

11/2/25

Update! I have lowered the price of the attic room to £500 inclusive (was £625 pcm inclusive)

Hello!

Hillsborough house share with just one middle aged friendly housemate (me!).

£500 pcm including all bills

I am looking for a fairly long term friendly, respectful housemate to take on a joint tenancy (until at least November 2025). This is a room for a grown up person!

We would be joint tenants (I am not the landlady). So more rights for you and less hierarchy! Woo!

Lovely large attic room to rent in lovely house with lovely housemate, lovely neighbours, lovely street - lovely, lovely, lovely!

I've recently moved to Sheffield, from Brighton, and rented a well maintained spacious 3 bed house in Hillsborough. I'm currently temping as a high needs tutor and have mainly worked in social care / education.

I'm looking for a friendly housemate who is used to sharing and who wants to live with someone. I like knowing there's someone else pottering around the house even if we're doing our own thing. A brew and a chat is also nice!

I need to live with someone calm, friendly and good natured. I have no problem with how people live or the choices they make as long as they don't impact on other people. Happy to live with anyone friendly and respectful irrespective of their characteristics. LGBTQ+ friendly and nationality / gender etc not important.

I can't live with anyone who reads the Daily Mail or who has those sort of values. I'm fairly woke (!) although I appreciate not everyone can afford to buy Ecover laundry liquid or organic asparagus. I try to be a bit eco friendly, but I'm not someone who does gardening by the moon cycles! (somewhere in between).

I'm new to Sheffield so would love to live with someone a bit sociable, with a sense of humour, although I have fairly wholesome habits like cooking, crafts and hiking so it would need to be someone not overly party / booze focused.

I do eat chicken and fish (although mainly vegetarian food) so you would need to be ok with this.

The attic room (£500 pcm including bills) is currently unfurnished, although I could source some furniture if that's an issue.

I have installed a new Bosch washing machine which is brilliant. There is no dishwasher, so you would need to be able to cope with washing up without one.

We would be sharing the cleaning tasks as equally and fairly as possible. I do like a clean house! I've had the rather nice fluffy carpets professionally shampooed recently so everything is of a fairly high standard in terms of decoration.

Have just bought a telly for the lounge too so all sorted!

If you reply to this ad please tell me a bit about yourself and what you want and need from a house share. (And in what ways you're good to live with).

Income requirements are:
Minimum £15,000 (benefits ok)
+
Good credit history
Work / landlord reference
Right to Rent in the UK

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Lucy
