Description
Hi!
I'm renting out a double room in my house in Woodthorpe/Manor Top (S2).
I'd like to live with someone who is sociable and won't run off with their dinner to their room. I like my own downtime, but would also like to share the occasional dinner or go out together every once in a while too!
I'm part of a big group of friends, and I often host dinner parties or spend Saturday's with a few people painting or having a BBQ in the garden. We have a hiking group, and whilst I climbed briefly in Bristol, the others are more into bouldering and are often out in the Peaks. There are lots of birthdays so plenty of going out, but never anything messy; I prefer a couple of cocktails, a nice evening, and an early night.
I'm into yoga and love all things arts and crafts. I have a few Christmas crafting/baking evenings planned here with friends in the run up to December. Equally, I'm out at workshops and courses and events planned at other people's houses too.
The house is a 3 bed semi (2.5 bathrooms) on a new build estate just off Prince of Wales Road. Built in 2019, it's well insulated, and the heating is on for a good amount of the time in the winter! All bills are included. The broadband is Sky fibre to the premises. There are frequent buses/trams to the centre and other areas, with the tram stop being a ten minute walk from the house.
There is parking for two or three cars and gardens front and back that I grow herbs and vegetables in, although the back garden is in need of some TLC at the moment.
The room itself is currently furnished with a single bed and an IKEA Kallax unit, although I will replace the single with a double if wanted and add some storage for clothes. Happy to discuss any other items. As I have my own en suite and there is a wc downstairs, you will get the main upstairs bathroom pretty much to yourself, although visitors will occasionally have access to it.
There is a third single bedroom that I currently use as an office. I work from home roughly 9-5 most days, although my start and finish times are flexible (civil service life). I haven't ruled out turning this back into a bedroom and renting it out at some point, but any additional housemate would be agreed upon by both of us.
My friends respect that this is a vegan household, so don't bring meat etc. here when they visit or order anything in. I'd ask that this was respected by you and any visitors you have also.
I like a clean, organised, secure home, so if you forget to lock doors/often lose keys, or 'don't see mess', we wouldn't be a good fit! There's no smoking cigarettes indoors, but outdoors is fine by me.
If you think we'd get on well together, let me know and we'll chat! I'll add photos tomorrow when it's light :)
