Description
Hello :)
We have a third room available in our three-bed terraced house, located just off Endcliffe Park.
I've listed the room as available from the 1st of January, but we can be flexible with the date, and so if you're looking to move later than this, please still get in touch.
The house is rented as a whole property, and not a HMO, and so whoever moves in will join us on the shared tenancy. Happy to explain this further to anyone who hasn’t come across this before.
Bills come to approximately £120 per month, inclusive of toilet roll, internet, electricity, gas, water, council tax.
Council tax is split three ways, regardless of student status.
We split basic cleaning products between us to make things as fair as possible.
About the house:
The house is cosy and well maintained and comes with the following:
- One spacious shared bathroom with a large shower
- A shared kitchen with a large F/F, cooker/hob, washing machine, ample storage
- A shared dining room, with additional storage and benched dining room table
- A shared living room
- Cellar space for long term storage
- Garden space with table and chairs, which gets good sunlight
The room is south facing and looks over the garden, so gets great morning sunlight and avoids the traffic noise from the street. The room has a double bed frame with space underneath, double mattress in good condition, a chest of drawers, and a small side table. There is space for a desk and our landpeople have a spare one they can provide should you wish. Most previous tenants have had their own.
The closet is HUGE and has built in shelves and a clothes rail, far surpassing the storage space of a regular wardrobe.
About the area:
- The 81/2, 83, and 88 busses all come up this way, with bus stops all within 5 minutes of the house (I think the 6 comes up this way, too)
- We have a large Coop and small Sainos within 10 minutes, a Tesco Extra within 15 minutes, and Aldi that’s 30 minutes or a short bus ride away
- There are a range of cafes, restaurants, and pubs all along Ecclesall Road
- Endcliffe Park and the Botanical Gardens are on the doorstep and there are beautiful routes out of the city from here
- It’s a quiet and friendly area made up mostly of families and older people
- There is on street parking available, with no permit required
About us:
- We are 34 and 30F, ideally looking for a female person of a similar age (though flexible for the right person)
- We are proud members of the LGBT+ community and would require a housemate to be at least an ally, but another member of the community would be a bonus!
- We are vegan and ideally looking for a vegan/veggie person to join us
- We are more early rise early to bed people and treat home as a sanctuary. We are infrequent drinkers and although we would want whoever moves in to feel welcome to have people over and host friends, we’re not party people and so
wouldn’t want a constant stream of guests
- We both work hybrid and would prefer a housemate who does the same or is office based over fully hybrid
- Between us, we’re interested in spirituality, health and wellbeing – skin care, hormonal health, psychology, personal growth; we enjoy reading, writing, listening to a wide range of music, watching a variety of film and television,
astrology, plants, creating art, nature, exercise, essential oils, mood lighting, comedy
- We’re siblings and both social but enjoy a range of time spent together as a house and time for ourselves
- We split the house chores three ways with a weekly rotation, and this has always worked well when everyone does their share
- We take great pride in our living space and would like to meet someone who would want to join us in continuing to do so
Things to note:
- If you are a particularly light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this may not be the house for you. Being a terraced house, it’s inevitable that we can sometimes hear each other moving about the house or occasionally our neighbours. We try to be considerate where possible, but our neighbours have children that make general children noises
- Including the closet, there is space to add additional furniture to the room, but the house itself is saturated, and so if you have a lot of extra furniture that you would want to have out on display, this house may not work well for you
Please get in touch if you think you would be a suitable match - I may not reply during working hours or late in the evening.
Thanks :)
