Thanks for checking out our listing! We are looking for loders for two lovely rooms - a large double and a large attic double.

About room 1 (butterfly room; first three pictures):
This is a bright and very spacious double with two windows. It's decorated with a nature theme, hence the wallpaper and name! It will be fully furnished and currently contains a double bed with two bedside cabinets, sofa, wardrobe, set of drawers, a display cabinet and chair. There is also additional storage with a spacious cupboard wardrobe which also has a set of drawers and two clothes rails. There are two shelves and soft furnishings can be supplied. There are also several lovely plants, which you are welcome to keep in the room if you wish.

About room 2 (mountain room; pictures 4 and 5):
The attic room takes up the whole of the upper floor and is an excellent size. We call it the mountain room as it has a mural on one of the walls. It will also be fully furnished and currently contains a double bed with a bedside cabinet, two large set of drawers, a storage cabinet, a casual chair and an office desk with a chair. There is also additional storage with a cupboard wardrobe which has a clothes rail. There are two shelves. As with the first room, there are some lovely plants which can stay if you wish. The room is accessed with a second set of stairs and has a lockable door.

About the house and location:
Our three-bed terrace is larger than usual, extending over the ginnel which means that the rooms are a great size. There is a recently decorated living room, kitchen and bathroom that are all available to use as shared spaces. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and induction hob. The bathroom has both a shower and bath. The house is colourful and clean and we love it. We also love houseplants and books which you may notice decorating most of the rooms!

Outside is a spacious garden with seating and plenty of plants, plus an apple and plum trees which you are welcome to pick. There are multiple growing beds which we use each year for endless beans, peas and tomatoes, and you'd be encouraged to use these.

About the location:
Upper Valley Road is a dead-end in Meersbrook and is therefore very quiet. It is five minutes walk to Meersbrook Park and there is a Lidl at the end of the road. There is also a fabulous bakery (dangerously!) close by and many bars and cafes a short walk away on Chesterfield Road. There is good on street parking.

About us: We are an outdoorsy couple in our 40s with a lovely collie, Bryn. Sara is an artist and Jim works in nature conservation in the Peak District. We are greatly into traveling in our van and exploring wild places. We love running, climbing, cycling and anything outdoors. We also really love growing our own vegetables and have a real passion for wildlife, particularly birds. In an evening we are partial to a board game or movie if we are in the house.

We are looking for lodgers because we are planning to travel and visit family extensively over the next year. Whilst we will remain resident in the house, we will be there very infrequently and often away for several months at a time. When we are home, our dog Bryn will be with us, but will not have access to your space. He is a very friendly and gentle boy.

About you:
We would like to find someone for each room who will enjoy our house and treat it like their own, or would be up for two friends or family members taking both rooms. We are looking for someone environmentally conscious, and ideally we would love someone to make use of the garden, and even better, enjoy the houseplants. Whilst we won't be around much, it would be great to find lodgers with things in common so that the house is a welcoming space for everyone. We would prefer people who work out of the house during work hours, but we are flexible. We are ideally looking for professional single people, but we would also consider couples.

Whilst we have selected no smoking, but would consider someone who vapes - please let us know and we can discuss.
