The house is an on-going project to make a living space with a very high level of self reliance, hence certain areas will be a little disorganised at times as work is done. The house is situated on the edge of peak district, 10 miles NW of Sheffield centre. Close to M1 (10 mins) and commuter distance to Sheffield, Barnsley and Huddersfield. There is a regular Supertram (bus/tram) link into Sheffield centre (poor public transport links to anywhere else). Location is ideal for anyone who likes the countryside, plenty of good walking and cycle tracks.
The age, nationality or gender are not important, but the prospective tenants must be eco aware and be willing to fit into the ethos of the house. Preference will be given to those who can input and make use of the facilities and not require an isolated existence. The en-suite room is design for shorter term lets (3 months max, but renegotiable) and suitable for those requiring a higher level of self isolation (e. g. accommodation for business purposes). The shared facility room is designed for longer lets (12 months max, but renegotiable) where the rent can be tailored to match the level of participation. A 33% surcharge will be made for couples sharing a room.
