Description
£350pcm bills included. Includes wi-fi.
I am (soon to be) a third-year PhD student at Stirling university looking for a mature student housemate.
House is in Camelon (FK1 4NH), only 10-15min walk from The Falkirk wheel or the Camelon train station, With the Forth and Clyde canal running just behind the back garden.
Camelon is less than 20min train ride away from Stirling (under £4 off-peak return with railcard), ~40/50min to Glasgow and ~30/40 min train to Edinburgh.
House:
Ground floor: living room, spacious kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, front and decent size fully enclosed back garden
Upper floor: 2 bedrooms + bathroom with bathtub and electric shower.
Me: Female, late 20's (will be starting 3rd year) Social science PhD student with a puppy.
Puppy: nearly 2 years old, housetrained, female, very friendly and mostly quiet (barks very rarely, but it happens) medium (only a bit bigger than a border collie) size mix-breed. She mostly has free-run of the house and is allowed on furniture, so must be ok with puppy company and hair as it will be unavoidable. She is not destructive or aggressive but can act as a guard dog when someone unknown is at the door (one of her rare occasions of barking, which does serve as a good doorbell!). When left home alone she can be closed in the kitchen or my room so you don't have to worry about leaving your belongings in other rooms.
I try to keep the house and furniture as clean as I can but some dog hair and dirt (especially on rainy days) will again be unavoidable.
Could live with other animals pending a good introduction, she loves all other dogs, sadly has not yet met a cat that wants to be friends with her but she's open to making cat friends.
Ideally would rent long-term to a single mature student. But others are welcome to contact (non-students would be fully responsible for paying council tax).
Move-in available before September
Ideal for those who prefer to live and work in a calm quiet setting. House is not on a main street so apart from very occasional noise on an occasional weekend it is very quiet. The spare room is facing the back garden thus noise is even less likely. Also, on-street parking is available just in front of the property.
I am a smoker, but never smoke inside and make use of the garden, if you are a smoker, I would expect you to do the same.
The room is currently furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk and side tables. Can adjust furniture as needed and the sewing stuff seen in the photos will be removed.
