Supermarket/Buses and Travel
Camelon train station is 14 mins walk and the McColls supermarket is a 3min walk. There is on-street parking/possible driveway parking. M876/M9 motorways to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh are closeby and really handy for both Falkirk and Grangemouth. The bus stop to Falkirk/Grangemouth is 20 metres from the front door and takes 10 mins to Falkirk. Falkirk town centre is 6 minutes by car.
Forth Valley Royal Hospital is approx 7 mins by car.,
Bus number 38 (20 minute walk from the house) - search First Bus timetable for 38. This is the quickest way to the hospital.
There is a number 6A or 7 bus that leaves from the top of Clarinda Avenue on Ochiltree Terrace - 1 minute from house) - but if you stay on it takes an hour to get to the hospital.
Bus number 6 leaves the Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre - (the Visitor Centre is only accessible via the canal bridge which is only open between 7am-8pm) but this bus also takes an hour to reach the hospital.
Using a bus pass or a day ticket you can take a combination of the bus leaving Ochiltree Terrace - get off at Union Road for a shorter walk to the bus stop for the Number 38 bus which goes right into the hospital grounds.
The map route and timetable can be found online - search on google First Midland Forth Valley hospital map
When I am around, my interests include table tennis (There is a full size table), going to the gym, culture and sunshine, nature, watching live music with friends and Music/Cultural festivals.
The Falkirk Wheel is 5 minutes walk away - large playing fields and the Forth & Clyde canal (great for cycling) are also close by.
Falkirk town centre is 6 minutes by car.
FK1 to FK5 4SJ – junction onto M876/M9 – 8 mins (3.5 miles)
FK1 to FK6 6BW junction onto M876/M9 - 6 mins (2.7 miles)
FK1 to FK3 8XZ junction onto M9 - 10 mins (4.6 miles)
Think I've thought of most stuff but let me know if you have any other questions – the post code is FK1 in Scotland.
Please tell me something about yourself and what brings you to Falkirk.
Thanks
