Room in furnished semi detached house with garden.

I’m looking for someone to join me in the house I’m currently renting (B Spoke real estate) for at least a year. Unfortunately no Students, pets, lodging or short term rentals.

House details:

3 rooms (all upstairs 2 bedrooms + study)
1 bathroom/ toilet (downstairs)
Large living room
Kitchen
Back garden with washing lines
Small shed
Front driveway

My current flatmate has just bought a flat and will be moving out soonish, but thought I’d see if this place might suit a professional looking to move in the near future. There will be only 2 people living in the house to keep things spacious 😂

It is a Double room which comes with a built in wardrobe. I bought some furniture (bed, chest of drawers) which my current flatmate was using. The new tenant will have to provide their own personal items including linen and towels etc

House cost breakdown below:
Rent: £430pm (per person)
Council tax: Band B (approx £49)
Gas central heating
Real estate agent: B Spoke
Other shared bills approximately: £90pm which includes tv, internet, gas/ electricity with smart meter (a bit higher over winter)

There is an outdoor shed for bike storage, camping gear, outside washing line and a drive way. 5min walk to bus stop (38), frequent buses into town and a city link express bus to Glasgow. Also train from town is around £5 cab or 10min bus ride.

I’m looking for a flatmate who shares the weekly hoovering / cleaning and is not looking for a party house. They need to be responsible and mindful of paying bills on time and willing to keep shared spaces tidy. Whilst I’m not precious about my furniture, I like to live in a nice home and would like who ever lived here to look after it. *My current flat mate has spoilt me to expect nothing less 😂

My name is Andrea and I’ve been in the house since January 2022, moved from Glasgow for work, and is still fairly new to the area. I’m 42, Australian with Sri lankan heritage and work 9-5 as a healthcare scientist manager at Forth Valley hospital. Moved last year with my current flatmate whom I lived with in Glasgow. After living in a inner city tenement during the pandemic/ lockdown it’s to live in a nice roomy house with a garden 😂

I enjoy eating out, gigs, traveling, films, galleries and the theatre. I also like to explore new places over the weekend and love wild swimming and paddleboarding. My work keeps me busy during the week so I prefer a chilled home life during the week.

My neighbours are lovely, friendly and of a similar age and so we are all respectful of noise levels. I’m not much of a drinker and don’t smoke but don’t mind if you smoke as long as it’s outside.
