The Bothy Studio near Blair Drummond

Situated in the picturesque landscape of rural Stirlingshire, is our Bothy. Built in 2023, the Bothy is a snug, 1 room apartment, which is detached from the main house where my husband and I live. It sits over our garage so it’s very quiet and peaceful. It comprises a studio apartment with an ensuite bathroom. There is an outside staircase entry to a private front door and you are welcome to use to the surrounding garden. We have a spacious driveway for car parking.

The space is furnished with a double bed, under bed drawers for storage, bedside table, small sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, chest of drawers, wardrobe and shelving unit. The small kitchen area has a microwave, portable hob, kettle and small fridge. We also have plates, cutlery, glasses and mugs for you to use. In the entryway, there is a coat stand and places to store shoes. The Bothy is equipped with a fire alarm, fire blanket and extinguisher.

There are no walkable bus stops near by, so having your own means of transport is essential. We are 20 minutes from the nearest train station (Stirling), around a 40 minute drive into Glasgow and roughly 50 minute drive to Edinburgh Airport.

The panoramic views from our Bothy reach from Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument in the East, to Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi over in the West. We are fortunate enough to be right by the Trossachs National Park and so this is a great location for anyone looking to explore nature. The surrounding fields and country roads are great for a wander and you will likely see some wildlife as well.
