The Rookery - double room in a creative home

King size room to let in a cosy, quirky home in the countryside market town of Eye.

Part Georgian, part Tudor terraced house with a pretty walled garden. On a quiet lane, called the Rookery. It’s the type of house you fall in love with and feel like you want to write a book in. Or which suddenly inspires you to make lots of jam and cakes. And drink many cups of coffee and glasses of wine.

It’s a 3 bedroom house.

Your room would be a king-sized sleepy room with a beautiful black decorative fireplace.

We will have another housemate also staying with us in my second bedroom, who is lovely. Beth, 31, who works from home and likes crafting and cooking. I’ll be in the third room. I also work from home.

Our spaces to share include: a living room with a small log burner, a small library snug, an open plan kitchen diner and 1 big shared bathroom (with a shower and bathroom). I’m also working on turning a shed in the garden into a craft shed.

Im looking for someone who works full time and is looking for short term accommodation. Likely you are posted here on a short term contract. You have a base somewhere else so dont have a lot of stuff to bring with you. Ideally to stay a few months but with an out date, but open to discussion if we all get on.

I have everything (like kitchen stuff etc) if you want to use mine that’s probably easier.

I work remotely from home ATM but I am also away a lot. The house is big enough that we won’t get in each others’ way if we are all there.

That being said it’s small enough that I’m looking for someone who we get on with and wants to spend some together when we are at home.

Eye is a lovely place to live I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s like being on holiday all the time somehow. It’s the type of place where everyone says hello to each other on the street. I have lovely neighbours. There is a bakers, butchers, chocolate shop, pub, two late night co-ops and the cutest deli in the world all 5 mins walk away. A charity shop, a cocktail bar, an antiques shop that rehomes old clocks back where they were originally made in East Anglia. Oh! And our own castle, which you can often have to yourself watching the sunset.

I can only put 9 photos up on this ad which is no where near enough. Best thing is give me a call and I can tell you more. I’m not in a hurry to find someone, it’s more an ad to catch the right person at the right time. I’m looking for someone who adds to the place and will be happy here.
