We are located at the bottom of a gravel drive running off the Green in Flempton with Suffolk Wildlife Trust / Lackford Lakes at the bottom of the garden and Flempton Golf Course on the other boundary. We overlook Lackford Lakes and beyond the lakes, West Stow and the Kings Forest and yet we are only minutes from Bury St Edmunds by bus or car. Newmarket is 20 minutes away, Cambridge 40 minutes away, Ipswich 47 minutes, Felixstowe 1hour 13 minutes.

There are fabulous local walks / cycle rides around Flempton including West Stow Anglo Saxon Village, Culford, Cavenham Heath National Nature Reserve, Kings Forest or along the River Lark to Fullers Mill Garden one way or along the River Lark the other way to Fornham St Martin and Bury St Edmunds.

For sporty individuals we have three golf courses and David Lloyd Leisure Centre all within 15 minutes drive alongwith four cafes and two pubs.

We moved here four years ago and completely renovated the bungalow including reconfiguring 6 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms and building our own “lake view” - a log cabin linked to the house with cabling for heating, lighting and wi-fi and positioned in the garden to take full advantage of the birds and wildlife on Lackford Lakes - we even sometimes have starling murmurations over the winter with the finale of the birds swooping into the reed beds of the lake for the night!

We also have sister cats Millie and Mollie who are the real bosses of the property and whilst they are not allowed in the bedrooms they rule everywhere else and need lots of attention and strokes so would be good if you liked cats!
