Bright, spacious double bedroom in East Ipswich

Hello,

I'm Beren, and I'm looking for a lodger/housemate to take on my spare room in a two-bedroom end of terrace house on the east side of Ipswich.

You'll be about a 10 minute walk from the town centre, with the University of Suffolk and Suffolk New College also about 10 mins away. It's also not far from Ipswich Hospital and BT at Martlesham. There's lots of public transport nearby, including a number of bus routes (including the 800 Park & Ride service), while Derby Road and Ipswich stations are about a 20 minute walk.

The bedroom is spacious, with a verdant view of the back garden and two windows which let in a lot of light (I forgot to open the second pair of curtains when I took the pic!). It's currently furnished with a small double bed, bedside cabinet with lamp, desk and chair, and a linen chest - however there is plenty of space to add more furniture (e. g. a wardrobe/clothes rail) and for you to make it homely.

You'll be sharing the house with me (the owner), a sociable, friendly vegetarian, along with my beloved cat, Brannigan. He doesn't get on with other animals, so alas no pets, but he is friendly enough once he gets to know you - but generally keeps himself to himself.

When I say sharing, I mean sharing - you'll be able to use the sitting room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom (which are all downstairs).

The bathroom only has a bath, mind, although there is a shower attachment.

There's also a long east-facing private garden, with a patio area at the back with seating and umbrella. The garden has separate side access, which is good for bicycles etc., as well as a shed for storing boots, tools and what have you.

The following bills are included: water, gas, electricity, council tax, broadband.

There is free and unrestricted parking on-street and on surrounding roads, I usually find a space close by without any problems.

The ideal housemate is sociable and friendly too, and preferably vegetarian. You'll also be OK with cats, the occasional house party and be accepting of all people. Good vibes only!

Long-term and short-term lets welcome. You will need one reference, and one month's rent plus one month's deposit will be due upfront if you'd like to go ahead.
