Hi I’m Jemma 👋

I’m a 38-year-old charity worker and have lived in this lovely little house for the past 14 years. I’ve had a few lodgers over the years and they’ve all stayed long-term, so I’m hoping to find another friendly and respectful person who’s looking for a comfortable place to call home rather than just somewhere to crash.

The house is a quiet 2-bedroom property tucked away in the heart of Newmarket - around an 8-minute walk to the high street and about 7 minutes to the train station, so it’s really convenient but still nice and peaceful.

I also share the house with my little cat Pantera 🐈‍⬛ She’s quite timid and mostly keeps herself to herself, but she’ll get to know you in her own time.

A bit about me - I work Monday to Friday 9–5 for a charity and work hybrid. When I’m working from home I use a small office outside at the back of the house, so the house itself stays nice and quiet during the day.

During the week I usually cook dinner in the evening and then wind down watching a film or reading. I’m a bit of an early riser and have recently started running, which I’m really enjoying.

At weekends I’m usually pottering around the house, catching up with friends and family, heading down the local for a couple of jars 🍻, or occasionally going out to live music or comedy gigs 🎶

The room available is a furnished double room with newly fitted carpets. It includes a double bed and mattress, clothes rail, chest of drawers (not shown in the photos), bedside table and lamp.

You’ll have shared use of the bathroom, kitchen and living room, as well as access to the patio garden which is a real sun trap in the summer ☀️

Private parking on the driveway is also available.

All bills are included (council tax, utilities and WiFi).

Smoking or vaping isn’t permitted inside the house but is fine outside.

Ideally I’m looking for a professional who is clean, considerate and easygoing, and who would enjoy living in a relaxed and friendly home environment.

I ask for references, proof of ID and a payslip before confirming the room.

It’s a really comfortable little home and I’m hoping to find someone who’ll enjoy living here as much as I do.
