Large double room Yoxford close to station

Double room with King Size Coca Mat bed, is available in my beautiful 16th century cottage. There is an ensuite toilet, sink and free standing bath as well as plenty of hanging space and a nice view of the garden. There is access to a shared shower. You will share a large open plan living and kitchen space with me, which has wonderful sun throughout the day. I am an independent curator, producer and advisor working in performing arts internationally. Originally from Suffolk I moved back here in 2023 after living abroad for over a decade to be close to my Mum who has Alzheimer's. I work from home (I have a studio space in the garden but also sometimes use the large kitchen table - the wifi is better inside the house!) and still travel occasionally for work. The property is a lovingly restored Suffolk cottage that is medieval in origin and largely dates from about 1592. With a characterful open-plan dining room, kitchen and sitting room that runs the width of the house the space benefits from all-day sunlight. The garden is quite large, there's space to store bikes, and a brick terrace which is a very nice place to sit in the morning and drink coffee/have breakfast when the weather is nice, or for outdoor dining. Darsham station (Ipswich/Lowestoft line) is less that 10 minutes walk. I have two car parking spots in a shared parking area with 2 neighbours (and at the moment do not have a car). The village of Yoxford is very beautiful and friendly, there's a good pub (The King's Head), bakery/deli (Black Dog Deli) and village shop. There are regular film nights at the village hall and many other activities. I'd like a potential housemate to be someone who likes living with others, is curious and conversational, enjoys being social and knows when to give space to someone you are living with.
