Description
Hello!
*flexible with move in date.
Sadly, my friend's visa is coming to an end and she'll be leaving the country in August, which means her side of the apartment is becoming available to rent.
The apartment is thoughtfully laid out as two self-contained halves with a shared central living area, which creates a great balance, it genuinely feels like having your own private space while still having the social option of a shared kitchen and living room when you want it. The laundry facilities are located on your side, so I'll occasionally need to pop over to use them, something I'll always give notice for.
As my flatmate is leaving a well-stocked apartment behind, you'll be inheriting a good range of essentials from day one. I'm more than happy to go through everything together, clear out anything you don't want, and make the space properly yours.
The building itself has some great perks, a rooftop terrace, a communal lounge on the first floor with pool tables and co-working spaces, reception and Wi-Fi included in the rent.
Bills & costs:
Council tax: £318/month total, split evenly
Utilities: approximately £100/month, split evenly
No traditional deposit — the apartment uses a deposit replacement scheme with a one-off non-refundable payment of £270 paid directly to the scheme provider (this does not come to me)
Location is a genuine highlight, we're a 2-minute walk from the rear entrance of East Croydon station, with direct trains into Central London in around 15–20 minutes.
A little about me: I work in private aviation Monday to Friday, occasionally from home. I have a workstation setup in the apartment which I do need to keep, but it's tucked away and doesn't affect the shared living space at all. Outside of work I'm into films, anime, gaming, and trading card games, generally on the nerdier side of things, which I make no apologies for :p
One thing worth mentioning upfront: I'm part of the LGBT community, so please make sure you're comfortable with that before reaching out.
References and background checks are handled directly by building management, keeping things straightforward.
If this sounds like the right fit, I'd love to hear from you! 😊
