Hello!
Sadly, my friend’s visa is ending, and she will be leaving the country in August. This means her side of the apartment will be available to rent.
The apartment is set up as two separate halves with a shared central living area. This arrangement has worked really well, as it feels like having your own small apartment while still sharing the living room and kitchen. The laundry facilities are located on your side of the apartment, so I’ll occasionally need to pop over to use them. It's important to know that due to my flatmate leaving I am being left with a fairly stocked apartment with all the basics you might need. I am very happy to sort through and get rid of anything we might want to replace or not need to make space.
The building has a rooftop terrace, as well as a communal area on the first floor with pool tables and workspaces. Wi-Fi is included in the rent.
Council tax and utility bills are split evenly. Bills are typically around £100 per month, and council tax is currently £318 per month in total (I know...).
The apartment is covered by a deposit replacement scheme, so instead of paying a traditional security deposit, there is a one-off non-refundable payment of £270 made directly to the scheme provider. This payment does not go to me.
We're just a 2-minute walk from the rear entrance of East Croydon station, with trains reaching Central London in approximately 15–20 minutes.
A little about me: I work in private aviation Monday to Friday and occasionally work from home. I do need to keep the current workstation setup in the apartment, but it's generally out of the way and doesn't impact shared living space.
My interests include films, anime, gaming, trading card games, and other generally nerdy hobbies.
One important thing to mention is that I'm part of the LGBT community, so please make sure you're comfortable with that before applying.
