Two Double Rooms in 3-Bed East Croydon flat

I’m looking for two new flatmates to join my 3-bed flat around August as my current flatmates will be buying their first home together

• Room 1 (smaller but still good-sized double room): £500 pcm
• Room 2 (larger double room): £550 pcm
• Bills: approximately £130 per month in warmer months and around £190 per month in winter (gas, electricity, water, broadband and Council Tax Band D)
• Deposit: £600 (original deposit held in a deposit protection scheme)
• Available from: August (subject to current house mates completing on their purchase)
• Rolling tenancy (following the signing of a new lease)
• Referencing check will be required (income check, ID, reference)

The two available bedrooms share a bathroom, while the 3rd room is en-suite. I’m ideally looking for either two singles or a couple who can use the smaller room as a larger office/ or chill room

Both rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, wardrobe and drawers and both rooms get a lot of sun 🌞

The flat has a spacious shared living room that’s fully furnished with a smart tv & fully equipped separate kitchen with a dishwasher.

📍 Location
The flat is a 15-minute walk to East Croydon Station, or just a 5-minute tram or bus. From there, it’s only 15 minutes to London Bridge and 17 minutes to Victoria, making commuting into Central London really easy.

There are local shops and cafés nearby, as well as some nice parks & green spaces with bodies of water only a tram or bus away.

I’m 29, a Black queer woman (she/they) who works in the mental health field. I work from home most of the week and head into the office one day a week. Outside of work I’m a bit of a yogi, love a dance (most genres) & enjoy playing music in the flat. Also into being around nature, roller skating, crochet & philosophising with the homies.

This isn’t a party flat, we prefer to go out and then have a nice chill home to come back to. Friends and partners are welcome, my partner is often round 1-2 nights a week. We also have a weekly cleaning rota, which helps keep things fair/ balanced. No smoking indoors. The flat is still a work in progress so keen to make it cuter and level it up - she hasn’t reached her full potential yet!

My two housemates (a couple) are buying their first home together (will hopefully complete in a few weeks), so I’m looking for two new flatmates to start the next chapter of the house with.  I have a pretty busy life with work, friends & family but I’m hoping to find people who’d enjoy building a genuine home & friendship/ community together, not just polite flatmates — would be nice to be able to catch up in the evenings, maybe even head to events or the cinema every now and then, & most importantly be able to easily co-exist around each other.

I’m looking for people who are friendly, considerate, tidy and want somewhere longer- term (1 year+). If you’re looking for more than just a room, and the idea of building a fun, community-oriented home resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. I’d especially love to hear from other women who are looking for the same kind of vibe. Overall, ideally, you’re a working professional in late 20s or early 30’s who’s reliable, easy to live with and looking for somewhere long-term.

I’ve lived here for the past three years and our landlord is really easygoing, responsible and reasonable. I'm keen to continue creating a space that’s comfortable, fun & welcoming.
