A warm and friendly older person with reduced mobility and poor short-term memory is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would really benefit from the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. Some practical help around the house would also be really appreciated, such as picking up shopping, cooking a few meals each week, laying out breakfast, carrying things, help with light household chores and ad hoc other practical tasks and errands as may be useful.

The accommodation on offer is a lovely spacious furnished double bedroom, with shared shower room, and shared use of the kitchen, garden and sitting room.

The property is conveniently located in Epsom, just 10-15 minutes’ walk from the town centre and Epsom train station.

The person’s interests include reading (esp. biographies and history), watching TV (current affairs, dramas, mysteries, old comedies), reading newspapers, classical music, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles and doing tapestry. They enjoy their garden although no longer do the gardening themselves. They have a very supportive family who visit often and ‘step in’ as needed.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker with a good sense of humour who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
