Hello! I'm soon moving out of my house share so my room is available from March 12th to August 12th. Rent is £450 a month, bills included apart from council tax, which will be around £45 a month. So under £500 a month altogether!! The deposit is £450.
It's a double room - a good size, and the house is furnished. The room includes a double bed and mattress, wardrobe, desk, desk chair, chest of drawers and shelving unit. It's at the front of the house on the bottom floor.
There are two bathrooms - a toilet, sink and shower downstairs, and a toilet, sink, bath and shower upstairs. The kitchen has a new oven, and a dining table and chairs, as well as a sofa in the conservatory. There's also a tiny spare single room upstairs that we mainly use for drying laundry, but can be used for storage or for visitors.
There is a small garden in the back that the landlord and lady maintain. Talking of them, they are so lovely and willing to help with anything. I've lived here for 3 or 4 years now and have never had any problems.
My housemates are three friendly women in their early twenties, and all do shift-type work. They're a brilliant balance of sociable but also respectful of needing your own time and space. One is a smoker but she only ever smokes in the garden.
There is a parking space in front of the house. It's a five minute walk to the back side of the station, and a ten minute walk into town or (in the other direction) the university.
The nearest shop would be the Coop, a two minute walk away.
My housemates are looking for someone like them really - a young woman who is friendly and tidy, and just a nice person! They'd be fine with a student, and happy for partners to stay over..
