Single room in friendly Christian house

Large, bright and airy 5 bedroom house situated in Merrow, Guildford. We have a shared lounge (currently our cinema room!), kitchen and dining area (where we like to cook and hang out), downstairs loo, facilities room (washing machine, tumble dryer), and a good sized garden with patio, pond, shed and summer house. There's enough space for 3 cars on the driveway and lots of free on road parking. The neighbourhood is a mix of families and some elderly people.

The bedroom is upstairs and comes with a single bed, bookshelf, wardrobe, bedside cabinet and corner desk. The room shares a bathroom with two others.

We are a group of professionals aged between 22-32 who work around Guildford. One of us is a children's and families worker for a church, one works in electronics at the research park and one is a primary school teacher. We have a good relationship with our friendly landlord, who is quick to respond to anything.

Currently one housemate is working from the lounge and occasionally uses the kitchen to film craft videos. Other housemates have been working from home on and off, using bedroom desks and the dining room table.

We understand that normal life can be busy but we always ask how each other is doing and catch up. We enjoy watching films together, some of us are musical (we have a piano in the house) and we love a BBQ in the summer or fire pit in the autumn! During lockdown we watch church together and have enjoyed exploring our local area recently and hiking over the South Downs. We have such a great space and normally love to be hospitable and have people over. We're usually active in our churches - helping at Kids teams, welcome, set up/pack down and tech desks.

Our extra housemates are a tropical tank full of fish, goldfish in the pond and 2 adopted cats, who are very well behaved (all with the landlord's permission).

We're next to Merrow Downs which is great if you like walking or just some fresh air! There's a corner shop for bread and milk (5 minute walk) and other shops (M&S garage, Dominoes, Post Office) are a 15 minute walk away. It takes around 35 minutes to walk to the top of Guildford High Street and 45 minutes to Guildford train station. There's a bus stop at the bottom of our road which will take you into town and is on the park and ride route. In good traffic the A3 is a short 10 minute drive away.

Bills are £110 per month and the deposit amount is to be confirmed.
