About the house:
I’m looking for a housemate who would like to live in a lovely house in Oxted. It has a comfortable living room, dining room area, kitchen, bathroom, and you’d have a nice-sized double bedroom. The house also has its own driveway, garage, and back garden which has a small shed. Very well-equipped and perfect for somebody who wants a place they can truly feel at home.

All the furniture here is mine but I’d want you to feel like you can use it like it’s your own. Your bedroom currently includes a simple double bed frame, mattress, side table, and a built-in wardrobe, but if you’d rather bring you own bed/mattress we can sort that no problem.

It’s a 12 minute walk from Oxted train station (direct routes to East Croydon, London Victoria, London Bridge and East Grinstead) as well as a large Morrison’s next to it, and the high street is also within walking distance and has lovely shops, restaurants and cafés.

If you have a car, you’re welcome to use the driveway or the space outside our off-road garage, and parking is free along the road for any visitors.

About me:
I’m a 27 year old guy, I currently work in south west London and I’ve lived in this house coming up a year. I began renting this place with my partner, but sadly we’ve now gone our separate ways, and as a testament to how much I love this house, I’m going to continue living here and open up the former spare bedroom to a new housemate.

When I’m not working or doing my uni studies outside of work, I typically enjoy a chilled evening with a beer in front of the TV, but equally there are some great places to eat or for days out around Oxted, so I do also like to get out and explore new places.

About you:
I’ve got no crazy criteria when it comes to who I’d want to live with, I just like the basics really: you clean and tidy up after yourself, you’re up for helping out with a spring clean from time to time, you’re considerate of our very lovely neighbours, and you want somewhere you can make yourself at home.

The admin bits:
This house is on a single tenancy agreement, so we would both be on one agreement rather than a separate tenancy each. Ideally you’d have moved in by 15th Feb, but we can discuss that if you’re a really good fit but just need a bit more time. Ideally you’ll be able to commit to an initial term until 1st May, just to give the landlords some security, but after 1st May it’ll be a monthly rolling contract. So yes, it feels a bit unusual to be on the same contract as a housemate you don’t yet know, but monthly rolling will give us both a feeling of flexibility.

Bills aren’t included, and your half would be approximately £200 pcm, including council tax (Band D).
