Description
Hi, we are a friendly couple with two kids (both school age), living in a large 3-floor Edwardian House in a quiet road near Sanderstead station. We have an excellent cat called Billie Holiday.
The whole top floor is set up for two lodgers, comprising of two bedrooms and one bathroom which you would share separately from the rest of the household. You would also have shared use of a lodgers' kitchen (fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas range double oven) on the floor below. This is next to the family bedrooms so we'd request that you don't do any full-on cooking between 9pm and 6:30am! There is also a small storage room with an ironing board and iron in it where you can store bulky items such as suitcases), and you will have use of our washing machine on the ground floor. We already have one lovely lodger who is a teacher in his early 30s, and he keeps the communal areas very clean and tidy. The bedroom on offer is light and quiet, with a view of the garden. The room has a double bed, table and chairs, a chest of drawers and a double fitted wardrobe. The curtains are lined with black-out material.
The room is private, but you need to share the front door and hallway with us. As we have children, we can't really accommodate all night party animals! But you're welcome to have a friend/partner round. The house is really solid and everyday noise doesn't travel between the floors too much.
One of us is a professional musician, and both children play instruments, so there will be some live music going on, but only during reasonable hours of the day (from 7:30am on weekdays, later at the weekend). Any pianists out there will be welcome to use our piano around our needs!
There is unrestricted parking on the street.
The rent is £500 per month, with a deposit of £500.
