I am a live-in landlord, a retired professional, divorced and I have a dog. I offer a quality, family style home that is friendly, clean and well appointed and in a quiet residential area. I seek a professional, single female for long term tenancy ideally. A non smoker, quiet and tidy and with a fondness for animals. My home allows my dog (prev. cats) free access to all rooms and I may require some pet care from time to time, especially if any cats are reintro'd. The bright double room is upstairs and overlooks a south facing garden. It is fully carpeted with a double bed, two double pine wardrobes, a low pine chest of drawers, another small chest and easy style seating. The communal areas in the house include a large farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with dishwasher, TV and occasional easy chairs; a separate utility room with washing machine, drying space and fridge/freezer; the main bathroom upstairs is shared with me only and has a large bath with overhead & handheld shower; a separate toilet and another wc to the ground floor. The south facing garden is secluded with patio below a verandah with seating & tables. There are designated kitchen cupboards & fridge space available and parking is unrestricted in the road. A selection of buses to Croydon & Purley are within 2-5 minutes walk as is a comprehensive shopping parade that includes Sainsbury's, restaurants, take aways and a library. Sanderstead Stn is about 20 minutes’ walk away. There are local walks available through ancient woodland, open fields and several golf courses, gyms and sports clubs are available nearby. The room is in use and will be available by the end of February after saying goodbye to the current beloved occupier of over 6 years. Possibly earlier by arrangement. The successful applicant would be a second lodger to one whom has been here nearly 11 years & occupies the ground floor room with en suite. The bedding is provided (all new) and laundered every 2 weeks, your towels every week and cleaners attend to the whole house monthly. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to keep the room clean and share other light household chores. I have 2 sons who are married living elsewhere with children of their own
Occasionally I host large family gatherings and entertain friends. Also, two grandchildren, at a time may stay over a few nights/days now & again (aged between 6 - 11). At these times I do not expect you to be shy! It is a family style home
