Description
The Room:
A cosy double room in a two bedroom apartment in the heart of Sutton.
The room comes part furnished; with a double bed, new (3 months old) Emma mattress, wardrobe, bedside table, a small foldable desk and plenty of under-bed storage.
The apartment has a modern living room/ dining room with a comfy sofa, dining table and a whole host of books, TV channels and games for cosy nights in.
The apartment stays pretty warm in the winter making it a lovely place to hibernate whilst staying pretty cool in the summers.
The kitchen has gas hobs and an electric oven, along with all the other usuals: modern washing machine, kettle, microwave etc.
The bathroom is small but does the job, with an electric shower so that you’re always guaranteed hot water 24/7.
There is also a large garden at the back which is shared with other residents from the cul-de-sac.
All bills including super fast broadband are included within the rent.
The Location:
Sutton is on the London/ Surrey border (Zone 5) with regular trains to London Victoria and London Bridge that take around 30 mins, as well as Morden station (and the northern line) a 15/20 minute bus journey away.
Sutton High Street is 5 minutes from the apartment and has a great selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well an independent cinema.
Large Lidl, Asda and Sainsbury supermarkets are all within 5 minutes walk whilst there are also a selection of smaller, more specialised shops in the vicinity.
Nonsuch park in Cheam and Carshalton Ponds are walking distance away, whilst the Surrey hills and Epsom downs are also only a short train ride away.
The Housemate (me):
I’m a copywriter, currently working for the children’s charity Unicef. I usually work from home 2-3 days a week. There is plenty of working space (and sufficient WiFi) in the living room and bedrooms for two people to comfortably work from home at the same time.
I’m 35, originally from London, but have lived in a few different places over the years before moving back to Sutton.
I love running, cycling and generally being active as much as possible. But equally enjoy reading a good book or watching a good film on a lazy Sunday.
I’m a clean and tidy housemate and having Airbnb’d the room off and on over the years, think I’m pretty considerate when it comes to sharing space.
I also love to cook and am more than happy to share the occasional dish and a glass of wine.
Any questions, just shout!
