Double room with own kitchen

The room is on the first floor of a semi detached house in a quiet, residential road, walking distance to local shops, The Weir pub, Xcell Leisure centre & bus stop to Kingston/St Peters Hospital. Free, high speed, broadband/internet connection, Netflix, Virgin Media. The bed lifts up so you can access storage room underneath; there is a wardrobe & a large chest of drawers. There is a table, a mirror & 2 comfy chairs for you to use & the TV is on top of the chest of drawers. There is a smaller set of drawers by your bed, with a bedside light & you have a key to your room. There is now a white venetian blind at the bedroom window.

You share the kitchen, which is on the first floor, with one other lodger, and there is a shower room/toilet at the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen has an air fryer, a microwave, a large fridge freezer, a single plug in countertop hob, a toaster, kettle & all the crockery, utensils, pans etc that you would need, as well as a a washing machine. There is a tumble dryer at the bottom of the stairs for your use.

My daughter & I live downstairs with our dog. We have our own kitchen and bathroom, so we do more or less live separately to the lodgers but still all use the same front door. This is still a family home, not two completely separate flats, it is simply arranged so that we really only meet at the front door.

There is plenty of on street parking & a secure place to lock your bike to.

This is an easy going household, but keeping things tidy is expected. You'll hear the dog bark when someone comes to the door, but she settles quickly. No worries if you're not keen on dogs as she's not allowed upstairs & stays downstairs with me. Tidy up after yourself, be respectful regarding noise & chat if we bump into each other on the doorstep. I work from home so am available most of the time. It would probably suit a smoker or someone who doesn't mind a smoking household, although smoke is kept to a minimum, generally speaking. It is not a party house, but you are welcome to have friends over.
