Description
Room: AVAILABLE FROM June 2026.
Me: Professional woman.
Absolutely NON-Smoking household - not even in the garden. Easy-going, cheerful, clean tidy, professional. Likes: Her dog, gym, tennis, scuba, friends, TV.
House: clean, tidy, warm, cosy recently renovated, refurbished carpeted and painted. There are 3 double bedrooms, (one mine), each with it's own en-suite bathroom with WC, basin, bath and shower in this Victorian terrace cottage with garden and patio.
It's not a wild party house, but if there's ever a party, or people over for supper, you're included if you want to join in.
There is me and one other lodger in the attic room also with its own en-suite.
I have a friendly, quiet and gentle Saluki x Whippet dog aged 5, washed regularly and she doesn't have fleas.
Monday to Friday people welcome - same rates apply.
RENT: for a Single Person at 800pcm
+£30per week for double occupancy/£25 pet.
Pets and partners would have to be met first.
THE DOUBLE ROOM: has en-suite bath and shower, WC, basin, shaver sockets/toothbrush-charger socket. There is a platform bed in the room with plenty of space for storage under it. There is a wall mounted 'smart' flat-screen 40" TV that has a Netflix profile for the room and which receives 4OD, BBCi-player and all the other free-view channels. The room has a freestanding 3 door wardrobe with hanging space shelving and drawers and another single lockable wardrobe cupboard that has optional shelving or hanging space. There is a chest of drawers as well as a desk with drawers and bedside table with drawers. Fully laundered (boilwashed) bedding & sheets are provided (should you need them) and you are welcome of course to bring your own if you prefer. Just use one of the boxes on the wardrobe to store the rooms linen etc if not to be used.
You either get your own fridge to yourself or share half a large fridge & 1 freezer drawer, cupboard space in the 6m x 3.7m kitchen with seating area - use of all mod cons in kitchen including the washing machine. I am not vegetarian in case you're wondering.
There is Plenty of on street parking and the road connections are good to M25, M3, A3, A316.
Washing line outside in sunny South-west facing and well maintained small lawn and planted garden. (If it's wet out there's a laundrette with drying machines nearby at the bottom of the road).
There is a terrace outside the kitchen (plenty of garden furniture for summer lazing and al fresco eating), in walled seating area perfect for catching the evening sun with a drink after work. In the small bike store in the garden there is just enough room for a bicycle should you have one. But NB: if you have a canoe, I suggest you keep it at the Westel Canoe club just across the river in Hampton and do your paddling from there. (They have a car park in which members can park whilst out paddling and load and unload canoes for away-day paddling). Or just get an inflatable canoe or paddle board and keep it in your car.
Shops and restaurants nearby and Z6 Hampton Court Station is a 35 minute commute into Waterloo it's more expensive from Esher Stn. and about the same distance from the house but the journey is 10mins shorter into Waterloo. The stations are just over a mile away with street parking near either station available free. There are buses to Hersham, Walton, Hampton Court Station, Hampton Court Green, Esher and Kingston from the bottom of the road. Not far is the River Thames, lovely parks, Molesey Heath and a very friendly and sociable gym (The Pavilion) half a mile away, currently being refurbished having been bought by John Lloyd Sports ClubsMolesey has a public pool behind the Library..
There's a small Sainsburys at the bottom of the road, round the corner and a good sized Tesco at Hurst Park by the river. Hersham has an Aldi and Waitrose.
Please, no smokers, no wierdies, no heavy drinkers & no drugs. Thx. :-)
If you don't hold any socially extreme views, have no personal hygiene issues, can manage to thoroughly clear up after yourself in the kitchen, keep your bathroom & room vacuumed, dusted and you're not averse to using the vacuum cleaner alternately with others in shared areas, emptying the dishwasher occasionally and are capable of sorting rubbish into the correct bins - this will bode well for a happy symbiosis. I look forward to hearing from you. Primary contact through Spare Room please don't cold-call my phone unexpectedly. I prefer to deal with applicants who have created their own accurately informative spare room profile, detailing what one might expect from them as a housemate.
Thank you.
