Description
Welcome to our lovely shared flat!
We've been living here since March 2022 when it had just been totally refurbished with a new kitchen, bathroom, flooring and paint job and have really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and great access to the town and transport.
The room and flat:
The room can easily fit a large double bed, has a long radiator under the window and is a cosy size for one person. Currently, the room also has a desk, side table, wardrobe and drawers as shown in the photo but will be unfurnished for the new occupant. If you work from home, there is enough space inside the room for your own bed and desk. Alternatively, the other housemates are absolutely fine with you working from the living room table so you have more space.
The bathroom is shared with one other of the flatmates and has great quality hot shower. Kitchen space, cooking equipment and cutlery/plates is shared amongst everyone and cupboards space divided equally so there will be space for your own food and cooking wears if you wish to bring. A washer/dryer is also located in the kitchen.
There is a massive loft space that can be used for storage of all your bulky luggage and the hall storage cupboard is also available for storing coats and shoes outside your room for extra space.
The flat keeps heat well and heating can be controlled in the lounge. The boiler is brand new which is more efficient for bills.
There is a car parking area within the flat complex if you have a car that is secured by drive in gate accessible by key fob.
Bills:
Not included in price of room - broadband, electricity, gas and council tax which will be approximately £175 on top of rent. Notably, this is the new gas and electric pricing. Water is paid for by the landlord
Insurance is optional but would be £4 a month.
The area:
The flat is in a perfect location just 5 minutes' walk from Woking Station and town centre. Great access to transport links via trains to London and the south of England as well as direct buses to Heathrow. Woking town centre offers everything you need for supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, gyms and shopping. Running just outside the flat complex is a lovely canal which is great to walk or cycle beside. Also nearby is Wheatsheaf common and Horsell common for wooded green areas.
Current housemates:
The housemates are really lovely - 28 year old working professionals. They both tend to work from home, although do go into London a few days per week as well to work. Everyone has gotten on really well and are really easy to get along with, like to keep a clean space and social with each other but will also respect your personal space.
What we are looking for:
We are ideally looking for a new female housemate who is nice, friendly, can clean up after themselves in communal areas and open to socialising.
Flat change over details:
The flat is with an agency which have been very good at organising any problems with the flat so far. If you decide you like the flat, the agency would require you to go through the referencing process and then your name can be added onto the contract with the two other housemates. The security deposit will be secured by law with the agency.
If you have any questions or want to visit the flat please do contact me. Many thanks
