A double room to rent in Blaydon Burn

I have one double bedroom to rent in my home from 1st Januaray 2025.

It has a full-sized double bed, a large set of drawers, a large wardrobe and bedside cabinet and plenty of power points. There is plenty of storage - plus other storage available in the house. Plus there is bedding if you need it.

The house has a large living room, kitchen/dinner, bathroom, front garden, backyard, decking area (a bit run down) and brickshed. There is also on-street parking.

Living room has two large sofas (one is a sofa bed), tv (Virgin/Nextflix) and wifi router.

Kitchen contains a fridge freezer, washing machine, oven microwave and ample storage. Plus all the normal pots, pans, plates etc to use!

Bathroom has a shower/bath (P-shaped unit), lots of storage and towels if needed.

All shared areas are professionally cleaned twice a month.

Front garden has views across the valley - although it is currently overgrown and wild.

Backyard has a decked area with seating (good for breakfast at the weekend) and a brick shed where bikes can be stored. There is also a small greenhouse - if you fancy growing stuff!

The monthly price includes bills: wifi, electricity, gas, tv licence, council tax etc. Please note presently there is no landline, but this can be negotiated.

The location is in Blaydon Burn – a quiet semi-rural location. 5 mins walk from the shops in Winlaton (which has a bus station, Cooperative, Newsagent and Pharmacy), direct bus links to Blaydon (about a 20-minute walk), Gateshead, Metrocentre and Newcastle. Approximately 2 miles from the A1, 3.5 miles from the Metrocentre and 6 miles from Gateshead and Newcastle. All of these locations are within cycling distance.

I am 51 years old and vegetarian, but I have always lived with non-vegetarians. I enjoy Radio 6, going to gigs, yoga and cycling. I work away quite often so most of the time you will have the house to yourself.

The rent could be negotiated for some gardening, plus I am open to people who only want to rent for the weekdays.
