Looking for a quiet, respectful lodger to share my 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom flat near Newcastle City Centre and the Quayside. The flat is modern, spacious, and includes an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and balcony. Fast fibre optic broadband is available, making it ideal for professionals who need reliable internet.
It’s in a fantastic location—just an 8-minute walk to Gateshead Metro and a 10-minute walk to Newcastle Central Station—making it easy to get around. I work from home four days a week, with occasional travel and office days, so this would best suit someone who works standard office hours to maintain a good balance.
This is a quiet and tidy home, perfect for someone looking for a peaceful place to stay temporarily. The ideal lodger would be 29+ years old, either a full-time professional or mature student, and have experience living in house shares. You should be clean, respectful, and able to follow basic house rules. While I enjoy occasional chats after work, I also value personal space, so this would suit someone who socialises outside of the house rather than hosting friends over regularly.
Keeping the flat clean is important, so I’d expect you to contribute to household chores or be open to hiring a cleaner and splitting the cost.
The room is available for 2 to 6 months, with the possibility of extending if we’re a good match. Rent includes all bills except electricity, which will be split between us monthly. A deposit is required, and I may request a security check via SpareRoom’s third-party service.
There’s visitor parking available, and if you have a car, you can arrange a private parking space on the estate or use a nearby gated car park. A lodger agreement will be required, and while occasional overnight guests are fine, this is limited to a maximum of 3 nights at a time.
Single occupancy only – no couples. This is for a room only, not a serviced apartment or full-flat rental. No retirees or DSS.
