Bright double bedroom in a top‑floor Tyneside flat, just a 5‑minute drive from Newcastle city centre (around 15 minutes by Metro or 20 minutes on foot over the High Level Bridge).
I’m a live‑in landlord but away for work most of the time, so you’ll have the flat largely to yourself. I've recently refurbished it with new double glazing throughout, new boiler, new cooker, new fridge, and new flooring in much of the flat. The spare room & living room have just been decorated.
There’s also a smaller third room, which will be yours to use as you wish — ideal as a study, storage, or yoga area/small work out space. A camp bed is available for guests (no subletting).
The flat is in a really convenient location, just off Coatsworth Road, with a Tesco Express, bakery Cafe & patisserie, several food shops, takeaways, services, social clubs, a local pub, and a barbers/hair salon nearby. Windmill Hills park is 5 mins walk away, while the Civic Centre is also 5 mins away, and has lots of car club cars available to hire.
Permit parking is available and £30 for the year.
Gateshead town centre (including the Metro/Bus Interchange) is around a 10‑minute walk, with a large Tesco Extra, Vue cinema, shops, restaurants, and a Wetherspoons.
The Railway Quarter, with its trendy bars and pubs, is at the end of the High Level Bridge on the way into Newcastle, and also a gateway to the Cultural Quarter with the music centre & Baltic and then the city itself.
Downstairs lives a friendly lady who works shifts at a local care home, so any social gatherings should be kept considerate and respectful — as is standard in traditional upstairs Tyneside flats.
(For this reason, no students — no offence!)
