Lovely House (Not A Maisonette) - No Fees

Substantial house with large rooms sharing (2 bathrooms, one lovely kitchen) with 3 others. Inclusive of all bills (including broadband, water rates, council tax, cleaning ect), no admin fees. We have one very good size double room coming available in March. Saltwell area of Gateshead near St Chads.

The room

Bedroom 1 in the house is the downstairs front room, it's a quiet spacious room well suited to those who might spend some time working from home and would benefit from the extra space. It comes fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, table, chest of drawers etc.

The House

The house is a three story end terrace, somewhat rare in Gateshead where many lets are maisonettes or flats. As a result we offer larger rooms and more communal space. The photos can't do it justice but all the rooms are large, the larger ones are vast. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed with 2 fridges and additional storage, and almost everything you're likely to need. There are two warm bathrooms shared between the four tenants. The comfortable communal sitting room is fitted with a sofa bed for guests, and the backyard is a sun trap during warmer months and offers secure bike storage for bikes.

The Location

Newcastle city centre is a 15 minute regular bus journey, 35 minute walk or between (roughly) £8 and £10 uber, so city travel is easy. We're a short drive from Team Valley and the A1, so more distant commuting or travel is easy too. Saltwell Park is very close as is Gateshead library and Gateshead swimming pool, gym and leisure centre. We even have an art gallery and a mini theatre close by. We're a great location if you're working south of the river or in Newcastle city centre, good for the QE hospital, the Metro Centre, Whickham or Durham. We might not be a perfect fit if you take the metro everyday. Personally I walk it in about 20 minutes so I don't normally recommend us for people heading up to Silverlink or Sunderland by metro, but happy to discuss further.

The area is quiet on an evening and neighbours are all friendly. There are local shops close by on Saltwell Road, and a Tesco local on Coatsworth Road. The house is a terrace so parking is on street but as we're surrounded by churches and schools there's plenty of space and no permits required.

The property is no smoking and we're really looking for people between around 23 and 40 who are familiar with living in shared accommodation. I do consult with the existing tenants to try and provide a good fit and I know their preference is for another female and someone professional in a similar age range.
