Hello. I have a double room available from May to July, in my 3 bedroomed house on the edge of Kenton and Gosforth. It is suitable for professionals or mature students, but I would consider anyone who is friendly and thoughtful. You would need to be working or studying, and ideally (but not essentially) have regular office hours or similar.
The room has a desk, wardrobe, drawers, shelving and storage space. There is also lots of storage in the loft, which is very easy to access. The bed has a comfortable mattress.
There is a decent-sized kitchen. You would be sharing a fridge/freezer between 2.
The house is situated just a few minutes drive from the A1 and the airport; about 20 mins walk, or a short bus ride from the Regents Centre; and close to the No. 10 and 11 bus which take you straight into the city centre via Newcastle Uni and near the RVI. The journey takes about 10 mins. Also the 31 bus stops very close by which takes you to Gosforth High St., and then into the city centre. It is easy to park in or very near the road.
It is in a pleasant, quiet, green area. There is a post office, general store, and chemist very close by. It is also 2 mins walk from the moor.
There is a sunny back garden, and the conservatory is like an extra living room in the Summer.
Just so you know, the piano is being played in the house during the daytime. The piano is not in the main living area and it stops by 9pm, usually earlier. I always close the doors but you would hear it a bit.
I would consider pets ... but it depends on the pet! Rent might increase slightly and reasonably depending on the type of pet e. g. a dog might incur a slightly higher rent but a guinea pig wouldn't!
