The flat is just a 15-20mins walk to the city centre, with excellent transport options also, ... the nearest metro station is Byker which is a 4mins walk from the flat, and the journey itself is just 4mins to Monument station too, there are a really good number of bus services circulating the area too.

The flat is just off the Main Street ‘Shields Road’ where there are a number of handy shops such as Iceland, Morrison’s, Boots (including the pharmacy), a Wetherspoons, a number of little cafés & a number of fast food restaurants. Just a few streets in the other direction there is also a retail park with a petrol station, Asda, M&S Outlet, B&M Bargains, Poundland, Argos & Pets At Home.

The flat has 2 double bedrooms, a shared bathroom, an open plan living room/kitchen/dining room & a surprisingly huge closet under the stairs which is ideal for storage. The boiler is very easy to use, and the flat itself is very fast to warm up. The flat has very fresh feel with the characteristics it has; such as the exposed brick walls in both bedrooms, natural stripped floorboards throughout the whole flat, and bright white plastered walls & ceilings throughout too.

The security of the flat is a bonus, there is a shared front door leading to a second door with a pin code (plus automatic lighting for when it is dark outside) and then there is also a further inside door for the flat itself.

The letting agency ‘Dayley Lettings’ are very responsive, easy to get in touch with, and give plenty of notice for inspections or if any work will be taking place. Therefore are probables the best letting agency I have personally rented with.

The bills; broadband, water, gas, electric & council tax comes to around £130 each (2 people). As flatmates we decided for ourselves personally £130 was a ‘comfortable’ amount, we would therefore to split the remaining funds at the end of the tenancy. Ultimately this figure may not be what you will pay PCM for bills, it could be less or it could be more depending on your usage.
